I was at the match and welled up a bit and have watched the videos over and over again with the same effect. I am so proud not only of Bonzo (what's not to be proud about), but also of the best supporters in the country, by a country mile, who still turn out en masse for the club.

And it was my favourite day at the stadium with the exception of the derby wins... I also got a bit choked up when Billy was getting choked up. I'm such a cry baby.

I doubt they'd need approval of LLDC to name the stand, it's only for West Ham matches it's called that. If you're going to see Beyonce at the stadium it's still just the East Stand. Isn't it? I'm just guessing.

I suppose they could have done it at UP but that would have had a temporary and half baked feel to it.
I expect the reason for the delay at OS is because they need permission from the landlord. Its no coincidence that since they reached the ceasefire with LDDC, a number of initiatives have begun.
Maybe i'm being too kind on the owners but I think they are beyond reproach on this one.

Fair play North Bank on the owners but if this was supposed to be done on merit why has it taken 9 years for them to recognise one of our biggest legends?
I’m by means the biggest knocker of Gold and Sullivan but I’m fairly sure their change in strategy (in general that is) came after the revolt last season.

Well done to Sullivan & Gold, they may have made a few fuck ups along the way, but bringing Bonzo back into the fold has been appreciated by many of us, especially how he felt about the Club after Storrie & Bungpuss stabbed him in the back

I make you right mate. Sky are absolute wankers for not giving more coverage of this. I say fuck them. None of the cunts who decided to make the pre match coverage all about Newcastle, and barely mention the opening of Billy's stand, are worthy of tying his boot laces.

I've had a bit of a look, but everything I found was too short - his goals and him holding the FA Cup, squeezed into too short a time to fit even that in properly, without the rest of his game getting a chance

They could also have got his pooch to christen the stand with a dump in it. Then they couldve called it The Bonzo’s Dog’s Doo Dah Stand (one for the teenagers)

He has always been a big family man......more important than anything else. Just as it should be of course and yesterday meant all the more to him because it was very much made into a family occasion so it made it all the more special to him.
